Everest Three Passes Trek is the ultimate adventure, favorite treks and one of the best treks in the Everest region. In this trek, you will not only reach the Everest Base Camp but also pass through the three highest passes in the Khumbu region – Kongma La Pass (5,535/18,159ft), Cho La Pass (5420m/17,782ft), and Renjo La Pass (5,340m/17,520ft).

Trip Overview


The Three Passes trek is the ultimate Everest experience. This route takes in all the highlights both in terms of mountain views and local Sherpa culture and combines them into a complete journey through the Everest region. Everest Three Passes Trek is the ultimate adventure, favorite treks and one of the best treks in the Everest region. In this trek, you will not only reach the Everest Base Camp but also pass through the three highest passes in the Khumbu region – Kongma La Pass (5,535/18,159ft), Cho La Pass (5420m/17,782ft), and Renjo La Pass (5,340m/17,520ft).


  • Day 1: Trek briefing and preparation day.
  • Day 2: Fly to Lukla (2,886m), trek to Phakding (2,640m) approx.. 3-4 hrs.
  • Day 3: Trek Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m), approx 5-6 hrs.
  • Day 4: Acclimatisation day in Namche Bazaar and local excursion
  • Day 5: Trek Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3,870m), approx 5-6 hrs.
  • Day 6: Trek Tengboche to Dingboche (4,410m), approx 5-6 hrs.
  • Day 7: Rest at Dingboche for acclimatization and a local excursion
  • Day 8: Trek Dingboche to Chhukung (4,750m), climb Chhukung Ri (5,546m), approx. 6 – 7 hrs.
  • Day 9: Trek Chhukung to Lobuche (4,940m) via Kongma La pass (5,535m), approx. 6 – 7 hrs.
  • Day 10: Trek Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,170 m), visit Everest Base Camp (5,364m), approx. 6-7 hrs.
  • Day 11: Trek Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar (5,545 m), then to Lobuche (4,940m) approx. 8 – 9 hrs.
  • Day 12: Trek Lobuche to Dzongla (4,830m), approx. 3 – 4 hrs.
  • Day 13: Trek Dzongla to Gokyo Lake (4,800m) via Cho La pass (5,368m), approx. 7 – 8 hrs.
  • Day 14: Exploration day at Gokyo. Climb Gokyo Ri (5,357m), visit 4th and 5th lakes
  • Day 15: Trek Gokyo to Marlung (4,210m) via Renjo La Pass (5,360m), approx. 7 – 8 hrs.
  • Day 16: Trek Marlung to Namche Bazaar (3,870m), approx. 5 – 6 hrs.
  • Day 17: Trek Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2,886m), approx 6-7 hrs.
  • Day 18: Fly o Kathmandu
