Technical Rope Rescue Technician
The Technical Rope Rescue Technician Level course is designed to introduce students to the basics of rope rescue such as knots and anchors, and progress to advanced techniques such as pick offs and changeovers under load. The course begins on flat terrain and becomes progressively more vertical. Examples of rescue knowledge and skills taught during this course include pre-planning, size-up, Incident Command System, knots , anchors, mechanical advantage, patient packaging, ascending, descending and advanced rigging techniques. Whether you are a recreational outdoors person or are looking to join a professional rescue squad, this course is a good place to start your rope knowledge. This course is five days (40 hours) long and compliant with NFPA 1670 and NFPA 1006.
